RBTM Hi-Fi Pfu DNA Polymerase (5U/µL)
Pfu DNA polymerase is a high-fidelity, thermostable enzyme that catalyzes DNA replication at 72°C. It possesses 5′ to 3′ polymerisation activity and 3′ to 5′ exonuclease (proofreading) activity. Nucleotide misincorporation during PCR are rapidly corrected by this proofreading activity.

Pfu DNA polymerase, derived from the hyperthermophilic archaeon Pyrococcus furiosus, offers enhanced thermostability and proofreading accuracy compared to other thermostable polymerases. Its 3′ to 5′ exonuclease activity enables it to correct nucleotide incorporation errors, leading to fewer errors in PCR-amplified DNA fragments than those generated by Taq polymerase. This makes Pfu DNA polymerase ideal for applications requiring high-fidelity DNA synthesis.
